World-class Faculty & Staff

Unparalleled peer support and technical community

In Alden Hall, you will find a community where students learn together rather than compete. Classmates collaborate in weekly labs, study groups form naturally, and questions are always welcome, whether you arrive with years of coding experience or none at all.

Trained student mentors called Technical Leaders hold regular office hours to help you master new tools and debug your work, and our Technical Advisory Board of alumni and industry professionals keeps the department connected to the wider world of computing.

Partnerships & Prospects for your future

Allegheny computing graduates go on to careers at companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Intel, and to strong graduate programs. Along the way, our students intern at organizations including IBM, PNC, and MITRE and present their research at international conferences.

Formal partnerships with Carnegie Mellon University offer accelerated paths to a graduate degree, including a 3-2 program with the Heinz College and a 4+1 program in business analytics with the Tepper School of Business, with guaranteed scholarship support at Heinz. Beyond degree programs, our microcredentials let students build focused, stackable expertise in areas like AI, data science, and security.
